About the Assam HS Final Examination
The Assam HS Final Examination is the Class 12 board exam for students of the Higher Secondary 2nd year in Assam. It is conducted by ASSEB Division-II (previously the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council, AHSEC, which was merged into ASSEB in September 2024). The HS marksheet is what colleges and universities look at for undergraduate admissions, and is a prerequisite for most government recruitments in the state.

3,30,744 students sat for the Assam HS Final Examination 2026 across 821 centres between 11th February and 16th March. ASSEB usually publishes the Assam HS Result in the last week of April; for 2026 the result is expected in April, though the exact date and time are still pending. ASSEB has not yet notified the Assam HS Result 2026 date. The 2025 result came out on 30th April, the 2024 result on 9th May, and the 2023 result on 6th June — the window has tightened sharply since the AHSEC-to-ASSEB transition.
